Cannot recommend Duey highly enough ! I was very sceptical initially when I was recommended acupuncture as a treatment for my excruciating pain over my left eye, neck and trapezius . I have had 4 appointments with Duey and after the first one the pain in my eye disappeared and my pain in my trapezius has eased immensely ! I have had this pain for more than 5 years and over the last year has been unbearable . Duey is very thorough in understanding your pain and symptoms and for me is a genius !

Absolutely brilliant service. Have had Acupuncture for chronic migraine that I have had for 50 years and chronic fatigue and it has made a massive difference to my life. I found Duey’s website after reading that acupuncture could help treat psoriasis, which I’ve had for 7 years. I was also experiencing some troublesome menopausal symptoms.

I’ve tried numerous medications, treatments and therapies for my skin with no significant improvement. After 8 treatments with Duey my skin has improved quite dramatically, to the point I’ve forgotten about it! The scales have disappeared and the plaques are much calmer. Most importantly, the compulsive itching I had just before I fell asleep, which woke me during the night, has stopped completely. He recommended a Chinese ointment to complement the acupuncture.

After I emailed him initially, Duey arranged a phone conversation with me to make a thorough assessment of my health. At my first appointment, I was immediately reassured by the tranquility of the treatment room as well as the cleanliness and standard of hygiene he practices. Duey is very gentle, caring and communicative.

I’m not great with needles so I close my eyes or look away. However there’s no pain – I can’t feel the needles going in. The only discomfort is a trigger point ache which eases quite quickly. Treatments are deeply relaxing. During each treatment I can feel my energy lift, settle and become balanced again.

Duey’s friendly and thorough approach to my treatment in Holmfirth made the whole experience extremely beneficial. I have been suffering with chronic migraines for over 20 years, and was having an acute attack when I went to see Duey. Within 2 sessions the pain had gone and I felt relaxed and refreshed.

I am a retired GP and, for the last 5 years, I have suffered from neuralgia affecting my face. The attacks have been getting worse and were becoming difficult to live with without recourse to medication. I knew that the recommended medication could be difficult to tolerate because of side effects and the only alternative in Western medicine is surgery. It was suggested I try acupuncture and I was aware from my work that this method of treatment might well be helpful. I attended Duey and after the first session, I noticed a distinct and quite remarkable improvement in my symptoms. I have continued to benefit from the sessions although, as Duey predicted, it has not been a smooth process.  Duey’s professional approach is excellent. He took a full history of my condition and has recorded my progress with great care. At the beginning, I was given details of the planned treatment course and I have been kept informed of what to expect. He is very careful of my comfort and ease during the sessions and these take place in excellent surroundings.

I started having Chinese Acupuncture in July 2020 with Duey for widespread joint,  back and neck pain which  became chronic  and resulted in me having mobility issues, debilitating migraines, poor sleep, IBS and feeling very low in energy levels and mood. I have been blown away by the way my body has responded to this amazing treatment, and noted this  right from my very first visit. I found the Acupuncture painless, truly relaxing and calming, both mentally and physically. It has alleviated all of my symptoms and restored my quality of life and I have been able to return back to work. I cannot recommend it enough

I have never had Acupuncture before, however, Duey was amazing and really put me at ease whilst we talked through the initial health assessment. I found it easy to discuss my problems with him as the assessment felt more like a friendly conversation in which he gave me some tips and advice on well-being. When it came to the needle work, he explained everything he was doing, continuously checking in, in case anything was hurting or felt uncomfortable. To my surprise it was a fairly pain-free process. I was initially sceptical about how much acupuncture is able to help with my stress-related issues, but three weeks after the first session my periods returned, and my body began to feel normal again. It is amazing how you are able to feel the effects of acupuncture so instantly; from a general tension release to physical changes in the body. I couldn’t recommend this treatment more.

I have been receiving acupuncture from Duey for just under a year and I can’t begin to explain the difference it made to my life. I am a dancer who has just finished studying so my body was being put through its paces. I was having some awful sciatic pain, the treatment gave me relief from the severe lower back pain I was experiencing. Not only did it help relieve this pain and enable me to dance fully again – it also reduced my stress and anxiety levels, helped me relax in order to get a good quality sleep and as an added extra bonus it also helped my skin clear up! I couldn’t recommend Duey more – he made it a wonderful, peaceful experience and I’m thankful he was able to help me get through my studies a little more stress-free
